Connect Metasell to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini

Ask an AI app about your sales in plain words: yesterday's calls, which manager needs coaching, which leads are stuck. The AI reads your Metasell data for one business, with your own access rights, and can never change anything.

Before you start

  • A Metasell account with access to the business you want to connect. Owners and supervisors see the whole business; a sales manager sees only their own calls, leads and tasks.
  • An AI app that supports custom connectors (MCP): ChatGPT on a paid plan, Claude, or the Gemini web app or Gemini CLI. On ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, or Claude Team or Enterprise, a workspace admin may have to allow it first.
  • If Metasell is listed in your AI app's directory, add it from there. Otherwise use this server address: https://mcp.metasell.ai/mcp

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com → Settings → Apps (or the Plugins page) and choose to add a custom app or MCP server. If you see no such option, turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
  2. Name: Metasell. Server URL: https://mcp.metasell.ai/mcp. Authentication: OAuth. Leave the client ID and secret empty.
  3. Confirm and create. A Metasell page opens: sign in, choose the business and click Allow access.
  4. In a new chat, turn on Metasell from the tools menu and ask, for example: “How many calls did we have yesterday and who missed the most?”

Claude

  1. Open claude.ai (or Claude Desktop) → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name: Metasell. URL: https://mcp.metasell.ai/mcp. If Claude asks how to register, choose to register automatically.
  3. Click Connect. A Metasell page opens: sign in, choose the business and click Allow access.
  4. In a chat, enable Metasell from the tools menu and ask your question.

Gemini

  1. Gemini web app: open Settings → Connected apps → add a custom app, enter https://mcp.metasell.ai/mcp and sign in to Metasell when asked. Google currently offers custom apps only to some personal accounts.
  2. Gemini CLI: add "metasell": {"httpUrl": "https://mcp.metasell.ai/mcp"} under mcpServers in settings.json, then run /mcp auth metasell and sign in to Metasell in the browser.

What the AI can and cannot do

  • It can read calls and call analysis, CRM leads, contacts and tasks, manager performance, alerts and daily summaries for the one business you chose.
  • It cannot create, edit or delete anything, and it does not get call transcripts.
  • Each connection belongs to one business. To use another business, add the app again and choose that business.
  • Answers come from your live Metasell data; dates use your business's time zone.

Disconnect

In Metasell open Settings → Profile → Connected AI apps and click Disconnect. Access stops on the next request. You can also remove the app in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini; that does not delete anything in Metasell.

If something goes wrong

  • “No business available” on the Metasell page: your account has no business that can be connected yet. Ask your business owner or contact us.
  • The AI app says the connection is no longer active: it was disconnected or expired. Remove the app and add it again.
  • “Too many Metasell requests”: the AI app sent many requests in a short time. Wait a minute and ask again.
